The history of Pethical – a surprising tale
It all started with a conversation in the office about one colleague’s senior dog. As many elderly dogs do, she had begun having accidents at home. After trying everything on the market, our colleague just could not get rid of the smell or the stains from her old girl’s little accidents.
Always happy to help a colleague in need, a solution was mixed and handed over for her to try, and there was no turning back. Sweetpee worked so well; we had to share it with the world.
So Sweetpee hit the road, attending various pet shows and events, to reach a wider audience of pet owners who needed an effective solution to a somewhat embarrassing problem.
When our miracle pet stain and odour remover arrived at pet shows, there was some scepticism about how well it would work from pet owners who felt they had tried it all. But it soon became apparent that others loved it just as much as we did, we received so many positive reviews on the performance of our little miracle product.
Hearing how our pet stain and odour remover had made our customers feel was just wonderful.
The next step on our ethical pet care journey
We extended our range of pet products to include GumDrops, a pet dental care solution, without the hassle. Just put a few drops in your pet’s water bowl each day to clean their teeth as they drink.
GumDrops too was met with glowing reviews from pet parents who were sick of the toothbrush battle and wanted an alternative way to keep their pet’s dental hygiene up to scratch.
We then launched our range of natural dog grooming products that are kind on sensitive skin, paws, and the planet. Handmade in the UK and infused with essential oils, our natural dog shampoo bars are brilliant for any dog’s grooming needs. They work exceptionally well for dogs with itchy or sensitive skin.
Pethical was born
At this point it was clear that our range of pet care products needed their own home, where pet owners could come to find eco-conscious answers to their everyday pet problems.
As we work to expand our range of pet products, we are dedicated to being as environmentally friendly as we can be. Always sticking by our commitment to do no harm while we produce pet-safe products that deliver outstanding results.
